**Job Title: Warehouse Manager**
**Reports To: Director, 3PL**

**Job Purpose**:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the direct management and handling of all warehousing and distribution functions at the organization’s warehouse facilities. This includes accountability for inbound and outbound freight, as well as adherence to legislative, safety, and organizational policies and procedures. The Warehouse Manager will accomplish effective logístical oversight through strong leadership and decision-making skills

**Principle Accountabilities**
- Manage the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of corporate warehouse.
- Work with Director of Operations to achieve facility financial objectives by planning labour based on operational need, keeping track of expenditures, analyzing variances
- Maintain customer relationships with all Rhenus fashion customers
- Participate in weekly/monthly/quarterly customer calls
- Ensure all customer orders are shipped in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules.
- Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties.
- Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
- Develop and/or enforce corporate policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials.
- Supervise a team of warehouse employees, including hiring, onboarding, delegation, training, performance evaluation, coaching, disciplinary actions, and termination.
- Ensure warehouse management tools are being used effectively and productively
- Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment.
- Identify discrepancies between inventory records and act.
- Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; adjust where necessary.
- Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving.
- Work with IT group in the implementation of single source WMS across all customers

**Skills & Education & Work Experience**:

- University degree, or an acceptable combination of education and progressively responsible experience
- 3-5 years of direct work experience in a warehouse management function or supply chain management position.
- Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.
- Direct knowledge of WHMIS and other safety systems.
- Familiar with enterprise-level track-and-trace systems, as well as implementation experience.
- Experience with radio frequency ID systems (RFID), bar code systems, and electronic data interchange (EDI) may be required.
- Strong knowledge of SCM systems, as well as Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in managing third-party logistics providers.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation, with good writing skills.
- Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions.
- Solid project management skills are essential.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good financial and business awareness.
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.

**Working Conditions**
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
- Able to physically inspect company property and assets.
- Exposure to a noisy environment and outside weather conditions.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Overtime as required.

**Physical Environment**
- The warehouse may be a busy facility. You may have to manage a number of projects at one time, and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs of others.
- You may find the environment to be busy, noisy and will need excellent organizational and time and stress management skills to complete the required tasks

**Work Hours: Mon-Fri: 8 am - 4:30 pm, the occasional need for the weekend and/or overtime.**
