Cabinet Finisher

We are a growing business investing time and resources and adding sophistication to our company. For this reason, we are searching for a Cabinet Finisher. Primary responsibilities include completing the final touches to cabinets, such as sanding, staining and lacquering, and preparing them for installation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted.
- Sanding and smoothing the item in preparation for finishing.
- Mix paint to desired colour and texture.
- Colour-matching cabinet topcoats to ensure uniformity.
- Responsible for graining and staining material surfaces and wood veneers.
- Responsible for regular and thorough cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
- Assist with loading vehicles for deliveries.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Completion of high school or trades certificate.
- A minimum of 5 years specializing in cabinet finishing in a shop environment.
- Experience in the field outside of a shop is an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of staining and finishing techniques.
- A minimum of 5-years of reading blueprints, written specifications, and production.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $15.32-$29.56 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Acheson, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- cabinet paining in a spraybooth: 5 years (required)

**Language**:

- English fluently (required)
