**EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY**

**POSITION TITLE**: Family Care Worker
**TYPE OF POSITION**: Full-time (8 am - 4pm)
**LOCATION**: CONFIDENTIAL (downtown Montreal)
**SALARY**: $56,000 - $60,320
**PROBATION**: Three (3) month probation period, after which an evaluation will be conducted.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
Reporting to the Clinical Coordinator, the Family Care worker will be expected to
complete the following tasks:
- Develop, facilitate and evaluate therapeutic programs and activities for women
and children encompassing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health
of the individual.
- Complete a written family action-plan in collaboration with parents.
- Case management, referrals, advocacy, one-on-one counseling.
- Advocate on behalf of clients and support with Youth Protection and provide Legal resources.
- Accompaniment clients to court, schools, specialists, etc
- Compile and maintain accurate records, statistics, and reports.
- Respond to crisis situations as the arise
- Attend weekly case management meetings..
- Other related duties as required by the Executive Director
**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Bilingualism in French and English
- Indigenous language is an asset.
- Experience using holistic healing models and approaches.
- Experience in program development and evaluation.
- Knowledge of Indigenous history, culture, customs and traditions and the effects
which residential school has for Indigenouspeoples.
- Knowledge of Indigenous healing and wellness in relation to multi-generational
trauma.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Knowledge of Youth Protection Act.
- Knowledge of child development.
- Ability to create positive relationships with colleagues, parents and children.
- Ability to meet deadlines with minimum supervision.
- Commitment, flexibility, and good problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Montreal health and social services
- Knowledge of the Montreal Indigenous community is an asset.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Computer proficient.
