**Marine Technician - On Your Way Marine, Severn, Ontario.**

(Permanent, full time, year-round)

On Your Way Marine is seeking a Marine Technician to join their team. In 2018 On Your Way Marine was sold and is now under new ownership. On Your Way Marine is a fast-growing dynamic company expanding their boat lines with brands such as Grand, Gala, Apex and Brig ribs, RH aluminum boats and load rite trailers. On Your Way Marine is also an authorized dealer for Mercury, Yamaha and Tohatsu outboards, Yanmar diesel, kohler and westerbeke generators. On Your Way Marine services all makes and models of boats in the greater Simcoe / Muskoka area.

**Qualifications**:
3+ years of industry experience.

Experience with Mercury, Mercruiser, Yamaha, Volvo, Tohatsu engines. Marine experience on both gas and diesel engines, marine electronics, and all boat systems including water, electrical systems, and related equipment.

Factory certification for Mercruiser, Volvo, Yamaha or BRP

ABYC Certificates an asset

Experience using G3, Budds, Diacom or Vodia

Certificate or Qualifications an asset

Must be willing to maintain or acquire professional certifications through home based and in class learning

**Skills**:
Superior customer service skills with strong attention to detail, good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Individual must possess good time management, organizational and solid repair skills.

Strong communication skills required.

Ability to work independently and multi-task easily.

**Duties**:
Perform mechanical overhaul and repair work on gasoline marine engines, outboard motors, and related marine equipment and systems.

Troubleshoot and test marine engines and equipment to determine need for repairs or adjustments.

Marine electronics installations.

Repairs and routine maintenance to marine water systems, head and all other boat systems.

Winterizing and summer prepping of all marine systems and accessories.

Overtime when needed

Willing to work Saturdays on a rotation basis

**Salary**: $27.00-$40.00 per hour
