Campground Park Attendant

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Reporting to the Park Manager, the Park Attendant is responsible for patrolling the park areas to ensure a safe, clean and compliant park environment for all guests. Register campers, collect fees, deal with inquiries, and sell items. Must be proficient with cash handling and reconciliation. Duties include monitoring campgrounds and day use areas, ensuring compliance and security by following Park Regulations and responding appropriately, collecting fees, selling firewood and other maintenance/cleaning duties as required. As part of a team, the Park Attendant/Patrol will effectively communicate with staff to ensure safe and clean facilities and a fun positive experience for all
**PERSONAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Enjoy greeting the public and passionate about outdoor work and patrolling campgrounds at night.
- Excellent communication and public relation skills, include conflict resolution.
- You are proactive and adept at policy enforcement in a friendly manner.
- Self-motivated and proactive in the workplace with great time management skills.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
- Positive and friendly attitude and ability to be diplomatic.
- Cash handling skills and ability to reconcile end of shift cash out report.
- Able to perform physical activity for an 8-hour shift.
- Ability to record pertinent information and to write reports.
**TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT**:
- Seasonal employment beginning May until late September.
- Day and evening shifts - ability to work weekends and holidays.
- Wages range from $19 to $21 per hour.
- Uniform supplied.
**WORK LOCATION**
Victoria, BC - Goldstream Park
**QUALIFICATIONS AND APPLICATION**:
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Drivers Abstract required up hiring)
- Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector required upon hiring)
- Current First Aid Certification (OFA) - an asset
- Provide your own transportation to and from work.
