**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in menu planning, taking into account nutritional needs and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage practices.
- Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, reporting any shortages.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service.
- Provide assistance during meal service, ensuring that all dishes are presented attractively.
- Stay updated on current trends in the food industry to enhance meal offerings.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices, including proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adjust as needed based on dietary restrictions.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
- A background in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $18.50-$20.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
