**GENERAL OVERVIEW**: The Breakfast Attendant position is generally responsible for preparing and replenishing the daily breakfast bar. Offering exceptional service, ensuring guests of the hotel are comfortable and satisfied with their experience. The breakfast attendant must maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for guests.

**REPORTING RELATIONSHIP**: Responsible to the guest. Reports directly to the General Manager.

**APPEARANCE STANDARDS**: Must wear uniform provided by the hotel, name tag and appropriate shoes. A neat and clean appearance should be maintained at all times.

**FUNCTION OUTLINE**:

- _Provide personalized service to all guests._
- _Responsible for setting up and maintaining the breakfast buffet as required by brand standards._
- _Follow menu requirements as provided by the brand._
- _Prepare foods such as fresh fruit, bread, pastries, batters, and coffee._
- _Stock coffee, juice, and milk._
- _Set up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups, and other paper products._
- _Set out/arrange cold food, such as pastries, cereals, etc._
- _Prepare and set up hot food items._
- _Restock items consistently throughout the breakfast hours and for the next day._
- _Maintain the breakfast area in a clean condition during the hours of operation._
- _Clear and sanitize tables and chairs as they are vacated._
- _Clean buffet counter and empty trash as needed._
- _Wash serving equipment and return to storage._
- _Return reusable food supplies to storage._
- _Complete the required cleaning daily, based on the cleaning frequency chart._
- _Serve as a pleasant, hospitable host, greet guests and provide assistance._
- _Be sure that established service procedures are always followed. Thank the guest and invite them to return._
- _Communicate complaints to the General Manager or shift supervisor, for immediate service recovery support._
- _Responsible to check inventory levels of all food, beverages, and supply items on the buffet and replenish them as needed for each day._
- _Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and standards._
- Additional Details:_
- _Active listening skills are required to recognize, understand and fulfill guest requirements._
- _Ability to work with minimum supervision_
- _High school graduate or equivalent experience_
- _Excellent communication skills must also be able to read and write_
- _Demonstrated knowledge of guest service and a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations_
- _Availability to work the morning shift, any day of the week including weekends and holidays_

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
