Care for Newcomers just happens to have an exciting opportunity for you
We’re looking for a resourceful, fun and high energy individual to join our Childcare Program to:
- Work **on call** during weekdays from 8:45am to 3:15pm
- Starting May 1st to June 28th, 2024 then off for the summer and starting again on September 3rd until December 20th, 2024
- Hourly rate is $21.38
A little about what you bring to Care for Newcomers:
- Demonstrated sensitivity to children and understanding of the challenges faced by newcomers to Canada
- **Diploma in Early learning & Child Care level 2 or 3.**:
- You have a first aid and CPR certification appropriate to children.
- Clean Criminal record and Vulnerable sector check
- TB test administered
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to be able to develop and maintain rapport with parents
A little about what you’ll do:
- Monitor the children’s behavior and intervene as needed
- Prepare the room appropriately before the children arrive
- Supervise the children’s daily activities and routines
- Ensure the kids are safe and comfortable while in our childcare facility
- Communicate with parents about any specifics related to their children
