Horticulture Technician

**Responsibilities**

We are currently seeking a Horticulture Technician to join our Landscaping team. Reporting to the Landscape Manager, this position will be responsible for:

- Maintaining our beautiful park grounds for our community and visitors from around the world with a focus on ornamental horticulture projects
- Assisting with planting, pruning, mulching, weed control, turf maintenance and water feature management in the warmer months
- Assisting with seasonal clean-up, cold-frame greenhouse management, snow/ice management, skating rink and interior plant maintenance in the cooler months

**What We Want from You**
- 2-3 years of experience in the field of landscape/parks maintenance
- Degree, diploma or certificate in Ornamental Horticulture would be an asset
- Excellent knowledge of plant and landscape maintenance
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, which may include contractors, and exercise good judgement and initiative with mínimal supervision
- Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure and time constraints
- A strong commitment to workplace safety
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

**Salary**: $20.30-$26.39 per hour
