**Door Shop Technician**

**Alliance Door Products** of **Edmonton, AB **is currently hiring for a hard-working **full-time Door Shop Technician. **This manufacturing position supports the machining and assembly of exterior and interior door units.

This position works **Monday to Friday**, from **7:00am to 3:30pm.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
(included but not limited to)
- Door repairs
- Self-starter, needs little supervision/or none to accomplish work
- Complies with all safety rules/practices
- Assist in training process to ensure staff is sufficiently trained on new equipment
- Safely operate counter-balance forklifts and Raymond stand-up reach trucks
- Participate and support all aspects of good warehouse housekeeping practices
- Maintain effectiveness (quality) and efficiency (productivity) in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with frequent interruptions and with mínimal supervision

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Door /cabinet/ construction industry experience (required)
- Experience in operation of chop saw/ table saw and radial arm saw
- Proven safety track record in a distribution/warehouse environment
- ** Both** Forklift and Reach Truck experience with a current valid forklift certificate (preferred)
- Mathematical aptitude and understanding of imperial measurements to the 1/32 of an inch
- Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable, efficient, dependable and a positive approach to your employment
- Ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with fellow employees and customers
- Ability to address workplace situations in a calm, respectful, positive and productive manner
- Excellent communication skills: listening, verbal and written in the English language.
