As a Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for the nutritional assessment and management of patients. This position reports to the Manager of Clinical Nutrition for professional practice and administrative issues and to the Program Manager for program specific issues.

Primary responsibilities include the assessment of nutritional status/nutritional needs, and the development, implementation and evaluation of care plans in a patient and family centred model of care. The Dietitian will provide support to the pediatric complex care clinic and post discharge nutrition clinic (patients 0-6mos). To provide these services, you will collaborate with other health care providers and function as a key member of the interdisciplinary team.

Temporary Part-Time

Rate of Pay: $34.71 per hour - $43.40 per hour

Hours of Work: 22.5 hours per week

Duration: 12 months

**Qualifications**:

- Registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Membership in Dietitians of Canada preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year recent related experience, preferably in an acute healthcare setting
- Recent experience with paediatric nutrition care preferred
- Recent experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition preferred
- Demonstrated skills in patient education and ability to support the advancement of dietetic practice-based research and knowledge
- Ability to promote a high standard of professional practice by disseminating nutrition knowledge and information
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development related to best practice in clinical nutrition
- Proficient computer skills including word processing and data management software
- Ability to recognize own feelings, express them fully and constructively manage own feelings in challenging and emotionally charged situations
- Ability to express ideas clearly, confidently and directly and work through conflicts and differences in a respectful way
- Ability to stay effective and resilient when dealing with adverse circumstances and multiple demands
- Ability to demonstrate an optimistic disposition toward new experiences and change in general
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s Mission, Vision and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step)
- Provide documentation of a completed COVID vaccine series (two vaccines)
