Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a **Lab Technician** to join our rapidly expanding team in Edmonton. As a member of the operations team, the **Lab Technician** will be responsible for analysis and maintaining records of client samples, recording all observations and data in LIMS, ensuring appropriate quality control and maintenance is performed and requirements are met; while following documented procedures. The Lab Technician will prioritize and organize samples and workflow, to ensure efficient processing of samples and reporting of data to the client; as well as provide regular communication between different testing and processing groups.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analysis of water-physical, chemical and microbiological parameters
- Prioritize samples and workflow to ensure timely progression within the lab to meet client demands
- Enter sample data and observations into LIMS
- Follow documented SOPs including quality and maintenance requirements
- Identify data discrepancies
- General duties as directed by the team leader or operations manager
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and notify coworkers of potential sample hazards; comply with all rules and responsibilities as outlined under the corporate Health and Safety Policy

Skills / Qualifications:

- Prioritize samples and workflow to ensure timely progression within the lab to meet client demands
