Video Editor

**Description**

Trillennium Media Group is seeking a motivated Video Editor to cut, edit and package video content for our news broadcast and online platforms.

**Responsibilities**:

- Edit raw content for television and web from assembly to delivery
- Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each is in the appropriate format (ie: frame rate, frame size, field order, etc).
- Perform video and audio editing based on story sequence and continuity
- Edit footage on timelines and adjust length of content in a proficient and timely manner
- Mastering of studio and remote audio, ensuring levels are unified throughout the program
- Source and collect b-roll daily from various sources in a timely manner
- Work closely with post-production coordinator, producers and directors
- Cut video sequences effectively to ensure the scenes are seamless and flow logically
- Review the script and program rundowns to better understand the video production requirements
- Review all edited masters to identify any issues and recommend changes as necessary
- Display superior skills and expertise in handling computer editing equipment, video switching devices, etc.
- Ensure the correct formatting for final programs according to different delivery specifications
- Use Closed Caption Creator to quickly create closed captions for programs to meet deadlines

**Requirements**:

- College or University degree/diploma in post-production, broadcast or demonstrated history in the field
- 2+ years experience working in related field
- Portfolio of work
- High level of technical expertise
- Extensive working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Audition, After Effects and Photoshop, PC and Mac
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced team environment as well as individually
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- References required

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
