Schollen & Company Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Consulting Arborist to join our team. As a Consulting Arborist with the firm, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and guidance to our clients to guide the preservation of existing trees within the urban environment. **Responsibilities**:

- Conduct detailed assessments and evaluations of tree health, structural stability, and overall condition.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to guide the preservation, maintenance, and care of trees in the context of urban development projects.
- Prepare comprehensive tree inventory and assessment reports and written documentation for clients, including tree risk assessments, tree preservation plans, and arboricultural impact assessments.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and municipalities to ensure compliance with arboricultural guidelines, bylaws, and regulations.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, research, and best practices in arboriculture.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture or a related field.
- Certified Arborist designation (ISA Certification preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Consulting Arborist or in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of tree biology, pathology, and identification.
- Proficient in conducting tree risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation measures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Proficient in using arboricultural software, GIS mapping tools, AutoCAD and other relevant technologies.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites, as required, and;
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices.

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
