**Automation & Control Technician**

**Requirements**:

- 2-4 years of electrical or electronics education at an accredited university.
- Experience in programming PLCs, such as Siemens and Allen Bradley.
- Familiarity with associated systems (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic) either primary or secondary to electronic or electrical systems.
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex functions and interrelationships, and explain them to maintenance personnel.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
- Preferred, but not necessary: Experience with Beckhoff systems (CX systems, Twin CAT 2 and 3, Ether CAT), programming skills in C# (MS.NET, WinForms, UWP), and experience with database systems (MS SQL).

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain a safe and orderly work area, adhering to prescribed safety rules and regulations.
- Inspect and test new installations upon completion.
- Conduct testing on systems after repairs or alterations.
- Repair and test electronic circuit boards.
- Ensure all changes are made to master drawings.
- Utilize specialized test equipment to troubleshoot complex problems.
- Design and build test circuits as needed for diagnosing complex systems.
- Assist in the design, development, and installation of new systems and equipment.
- Implement circuit changes to improve design or operation.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for smooth installations.
- Establish and manage spare parts inventory for electronic and electrical components, minimizing production downtime.
- Consult with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production personnel to enhance equipment reliability and prevent recurring problems.
- Maintain a chronological history of equipment alterations or repairs.

Location: Bedford Heights, OH

Schedule: Monday to Sunday (Rotating Shifts: 1st shift 7 AM - 3 PM, 2nd shift 3 PM - 11 PM)

Overtime: 1.5x paid for hours worked beyond 40 hours per week
