**Purpose of Role**:
Electrician is responsible for installation and repair of all electrical components on both residential and commercial sites.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Analyze electrical drawings, specifications and instructions to troubleshoot, repair, replace and install components of normal and emergency power systems (up to 600V).
- Installs electrical circuits and all types of electrical equipment and appliances including grounding leads, lighting fixtures, life safety systems, and other circuits as needed.
- Mounts motors, transformers, light fixtures into position and complete circuits according to drawings and specs
- Inspects lighting system, emergency power system
- Replaces and/or repairs faulty components including switches, sockets, ballasts, light bulbs/tubes and other simple elements of electrical systems.
- Implement scheduled preventive maintenance program for power equipment such as transformers, breakers, disconnects, capacitor banks and switchgears, HVAC equipment and devices such as motors, VFDs, controls and sensors, medical gas system, alarm systems, communication system and medical equipment.
- Residential new construction wiring and service work
- Other relevant duties as assigned by Manager

**Knowledge and Applied Skills**
- Valid Ontario Electrician Certificate or equivalent
- 2 - 5 years of maintenance electrician experience
- Personal transportation required
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
- Ability to work at heights, using step ladder, scissor lift, telescopic boom, etc
- Ability to lift up to 25Kg
- Ability to read and interpreter schematics, electrical drawing, instruction and O&M manual
- Knowledge and ability to work with electrical tools and measuring devices safely

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Work Location: On the road
