Bracing Technician / Kinesiologist position at Saskatoon Orthopedic Sports Medicine Center

The Saskatoon Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center (SOSMC), is looking to fill a part-time position in our bracing department. The Saskatoon Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center is a multidisciplinary clinic focusing on outstanding patient care. The bracing/orthotics department works closely with primary care sports medicine, orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists and physical therapists to provide the highest level of care to our patients. SOSMC offers an array of custom and off the shelf bracing options in the treatment of various neurological and orthopedic injuries.

We are looking to hire an energetic, self motivated and positive individual who is eager to learn the world of bracing and work alongside our team of sports medicine colleagues.

Position Deliverables
- Pre and post-operative brace fitting
- Acute injury assessment and management through bracing
- Consultation, measuring and fitting of compression therapy garments
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Patient billing/certain supplementary billing
- Maintaining and ordering inventory
- Accounts receivable/payable
- Opening and closing duties
- Cash management

Desirable Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge and coordination of social media platforms
- Self-motivated and independent
- Organized and ability to multitask
- Knowledge and understanding of human anatomy
- Experience with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks and Accuro Software is an asset
- Preference given to applicants with a Kinesiology degree or previous bracing experience
