The **Psychotherapist** plans, develops, and monitors a variety of therapy support service delivery options to meet the needs of individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other developmental delays or disabilities as well as their families. The Psychotherapist also consults with and teaches instructional team members regarding pro-active, educational programming; develops and implements comprehensive treatment plans; and collaborates with team members, related service providers, families, and other agencies as appropriate.

**Job type**: Part-time, 5-10 hours per week with 2-3 evening sessions a week (3pm-7pm)

**Work setting**:Hybrid, center-based. Potential assignment in Oakville, Markham or Toronto.

**Take an inside look at what you will do each day**:

- Ensure that services provided adhere to best practices and assist clients in meeting and surpassing their goals.
- Conduct thorough reviews of records and available data (e.g., educational, medical, historical) upon receiving intake and prior to assessment.
- Utilize appropriate assessment tools, therapeutic techniques, and data collection systems to develop and implement teaching programs aligned with family goals and desired outcomes.
- Document all contacts, observations, and interventions, using professional knowledge and judgment to strategize continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, including data measurement, observation notes, assessments, and client self-reports.
- Prepare and complete reports as required, ensuring compliance with contract/funding requirements and professional standards.
- Collaborate with families, administration teams, and discipline leads as needed to recruit, select, train, and retain team members.
- Develop innovative strategies to ensure the continuity and consistency of treatment and support services across various settings for clients of all ages.
- Direct the treatment team in safely progressing exercises, functional tasks, and work simulations to address objective limitations, with clear and concise documentation.

**Here is what you will need to be successful**:

- A master's degree in the field of counselling, therapy, mental health, psychology or a related social service discipline is required and a period of supervised clinical work with clients is required.
- Membership with a provincial or federal association is usually required by employers (ex. CRPO,
- MSSW).
- Ability to travel within the community is an asset

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a psychotherapist
- Your bilingual languages skills in English and French are an asset
- Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle an asset
