Timberland Express is currently searching for a highly motivated **Truck and Coach Technician (310T) **as we continue to grow in our location. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and vehicle repairs. Technician must perform all work listed on repair orders assigned, document work completed on the repair.

**Responsibilities**
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications
- Perform scheduled maintenance, such as safety inspections, oil changes, lubrications, and tune ups
- Inspect or test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine course of repair
- Record steps involved in repairs, general vehicle condition and note future repairs that may be required
- Collaborates with transportation team to optimize efficiency
- Performs the work safely according to Ministry requirements, and to Timberland health and safety program
- Maintain a clean working environment and assist with parts inventory control
- Report non-compliance and safety issues to management
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of heavy-duty trucks and their service needs
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Truck and Coach Technician 310T License required
- Proficiency in English, spoken and written
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional demeanor
- Attention to detail
- Time and stress management

**Knowledge of**:

- Transportation requirements, Product lift sizes and piece counts
- Truck weight and loading capacities
- Ability to work independently and be flexible regarding work assignments
- Intermediate Computer Skills (Microsoft Office and BlueBee system)
- Basic Math Skills
- Efficient problem-solving skills
- Efficient communication skills
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $35.00 per hour

- heavy duty truck service: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Truck and Coach Technician 310T License (preferred)
