**Position Overview**: We are currently seeking a skilled Furniture Cutter/Sewer to join our upholstery team. The Furniture Cutter/Sewer will be responsible for cutting and sewing a variety of fabric components used in the upholstery of residential furniture pieces. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and a passion for quality craftsmanship.

**Responsibilities**:

- Cut and Sew fabric components for a variety of residential furniture pieces, including sofas, chairs, ottomans, and cushions.
- Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch fabric pieces together according to specified patterns and dimensions.
- Cut fabric pieces to size and shape, following pattern templates and design specifications.
- Seam fabric edges, reinforce seams, and attach zippers, welting, and other trimmings as needed.
- Inspect finished fabric components for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Collaborate closely with upholsterers, designers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of sewn fabric components into finished furniture pieces.
- Maintain a clean and organized sewing area, including regular maintenance of sewing machines and equipment.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a furniture cutter or industrial sewer, preferably in a furniture manufacturing or upholstery environment.
- Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and equipment.
- Strong sewing skills, including the ability to sew straight lines, curved lines, and complex patterns with precision.
- Knowledge of different types of fabrics, their properties, and appropriate sewing techniques.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to read and interpret sewing patterns and instructions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive sewing tasks for extended periods.
