As a Construction Technician, you play an integral role assisting us in maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction and quality service with our clients. You are on the front lines whenever disaster strikes and represent the Disaster Rx brand with job site management and quality customer service.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Work with Project Managers and other field team members in assessing and processing property damage
- Organize and arrange appropriate equipment and materials needed to rebuild / reconstruct properties
- Manage and maintain site documentation; such as photos, authorization forms, timesheets, and more.
- Ensure site protection is installed properly
- Practice on the job safety and encourage safety among the team
- Install, operate and maintain all equipment safely and adhere to manufacturer's guidelines
- Assist in mitigation and remediation activities such as water extraction, demolition, debris disposal, moving & re-setting contents, and basic construction.
- Provide hands on leadership and mentoring to other team members.
- Ensure new Technicians are trained on policies and procedures.
- Monitor equipment and vehicle supply requirements and liaise with the Warehouse to ensure adequate tools and supplies are on hand.
- Ensure customer service excellence.
- Be responsible for maintaining a safe job site at all times.
- Participate in the on-call rotation (this may on occasion include after-hours call-outs on evenings & weekends).

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Strong time management and organizational skills and able to meet deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills
- Familiar with hand-held tools and equipment
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- The ability to handle a regular physical workload, and lift at least 50lbs
- Experience in drywall installation and repair
- Excellent carpentry skills, with the ability to build products from scratch
- Experience with painting both residential and commercial properties
- Jack-of-all trades
- that can perform a variety of property construction tasks
- A valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record
- A clean criminal record

**Education and Experience**
- A minimum of 5 years building and construction experience.
- Strong mentorship and motivational skills.
- An ability to use common hand and power tools.
- An ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- An interest in Health & Safety and First Aid.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- construction: 3 years (preferred)
