The Business Analyst serves as an internal consultancy role that has responsibility for investigating business systems, identifying options for improving business systems and bridging the needs of the business with the use of information technology.

Working with internal and external stakeholders’ a business analyst works at correcting defects, defining requirements and testing system and process changes.

Business analysts have a strong understanding of insurance, business systems and data.

Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

General Insurance Essentials

Skills & Experience:

- P&C Insurance Experience
- Exceptional computer skills
- Guidewire Policy suite experience
- Detail oriented, analytical, and inquisitive
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Ability to multi-task, excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills, including active listening skills
- Ability to manage change
- Jira or other Ticket management solution
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Experience in writing SQL queries
- Basic knowledge in generating process documentation

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Defining configuration specifications and business analysis requirements
- Participate in requirement sessions with business and system teams.
- Performing quality assurance and testing
- Defining reporting and alerting requirements
- Conduct triage and review of incoming defects and enhancement requests
- Working with partners to investigate, prioritize and fix defects
- Help design, document and maintain system processes
- Timely updates and documentation
- Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver value
- Coordinate efforts with other teams and stakeholders
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Participate in projects when required.
- Follow established practices, processes and guidelines
- Tracking work requests on internal and external ticket systems
- Participate in data analysis and corrections
- Perform other duties as assigned

Notes:

- This role requires a high level of confidentiality - Criminal Background check required
- Continuing education in this role is important. Individuals should be looking to take additional insurance courses (CIP certification) and or be perusing there Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $60,919.00-$76,149.00 per year
