Teacher/tutor Simcoe

Minimum 1 year commitment of 2 - 4 shifts per week during the following instruction period:
Monday - Thursday from 3pm - 7pm

We are currently looking for OCT certified teachers, or undergrad students interested in pursuing a teaching degree with experience working with children.

Sylvan Learning of Brantford is seeking tutors to join our amazing and dynamic team for **in person** instruction at our Satellite in Simcoe Sylvan teachers are responsible for creating a positive personal learning experience for students K - 12 in Reading, Writing and Math. In this position you will work with students in Grade 1 - 8 and assist them with filling in their learning gaps for English or Math. Students are taught in a 3:1 student-teacher ratio using Sylvan program materials. **We will train you, design the programs, provide the materials and lesson plans and supply the students. All you have to do is teach No planning, no reports, no parent meetings. Just working with keen students, eager to learn.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop rapport with students and establish a positive learning environment
- Maintain a positive attitude and enthusiasm
- Manage 3 students to create a balanced and robust instructional session
- Evaluate and record progress of each student
- Use praise and encouragement to ensure students are engaged and inspired to learn
- Communicate specific student needs to Directors
- Attend staff meetings and complete ongoing training as needed
