We are currently recruiting experienced and professional **Hydrovac Swampers** to join our Groundhog Daylighting operations in **Ontario** for **permanent, full-time** positions.
- Local Work but may extend out to 100 kilometers or more
- South-Western Ontario / Golden Horseshoe

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Perform debris removal, slot trenching, daylighting, and custom Hydrovac projects
- Operate units and equipment in a safe, responsible and professional manner.
- Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding procedures for Hydrovac operation.
- Ensure all Hydrovac truck equipment and components are in good working condition at all times.
- Ensure that all work is completed in a craftsman-like manner and to the satisfaction of the customer
- Assist in the assembly of hose, filling water tank, inspecting work site and operating high pressure wand
- Maintain control of and be responsible for equipment owned by the Company that is used by the Hydrovac Swamper.
- Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures as stated in Company Policy and Employee Safety Handbook

**Qualifications**:

- Geographical knowledge sufficient to read maps and follow directions
- Understanding of CVOR and MTO guidelines and requirements an asset
- Competent problem-solving skills
- Mechanically inclined; able to maintain company truck, machinery or tools assigned, trouble-shoot, repair and replace as appropriate
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks, managing time efficiently
- Hydrovac related training an asset i.e., First Aid, Ground Disturbance, Working at Heights etc.
- Able to take direction and work safely and efficiently with mínimal supervision; Self-motivated, disciplined, organized and a team player
- Customer service oriented

**Requirements**:

- Education: High school or equivalent experience
- License: Valid Ontario G Class
- Clean Driver’s Abstract (required to be insurable)
- Criminal Background Check
- Language: Fluent in English
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Steel-Toed Work Boots (marked by green triangle)
- Able to work in all weather conditions; exposure to loud and moving equipment
- Able to work at heights of 10 - 20 feet
- Willing to work overtime
- Able to complete physically demanding work (i.e., life/carry 50+/- lbs)
- Must adhere to all company specific policies and regulations

**Experience**:

- Construction: 1 year (preferred)
- General labour: 1 year (preferred)
- Hand tools: 1 year (preferred)

- Class G Licence (preferred)
