CCS is home to Caledon’s only accessible transportation program, the Exchange Community Hub that includes food supports and a range of activities, the Caledon Specialist Clinic, and personal support services for seniors. We offer settlement services and language classes for newcomers and comprehensive employment services for job seekers and local businesses. We provide paid training programs for Caledon youth as well as exciting internships and volunteer opportunities. Finally, we invite the community to shop at Evolve, a retail shopping destination. We host a variety of fundraising events annually. We invite you to volunteer with us. Proceeds raised support service delivery for many of our programs. **Position Overview**:
Working in close collaboration with Health Services staff, the Driver, Transportation Services contributes to the ability of individuals to continue living in their own residence and in the community by providing safe, courteous, and efficient transportation services.

**Position Deliverables/Accountabilities**:Under the leadership of the Manager, Transportation scheduling staff, the Driver:

- Adheres to the driving schedule assigned by the scheduler, transporting clients safely and courteously to and from their destinations;
- Performs thorough vehicle safety inspection prior to departure, noting and immediately reporting any concerns or deficiencies to the Manager or designate;
- Maintains regular communication with scheduling staff throughout each shift, reporting problems,concerns, or updates;
- Provides excellent customer service and public relations to clients;
- Completes all required documentation accurately and promptly;
- Complies with all Health and Safety Regulations, Ontario Traffic Safety Act, MTO Regulations and Agency policies and procedures;
- Drives in all weather conditions ;
- Other duties as required including coverage of Stand-By Driver when program is experiencing staff shortage, picking up supplies and shuttling buses to and from service.

**Summary of Qualifications**:

- **Must possess a B, C, E, or F license and have a satisfactory driving record;**
- **Must have a minimum three years’ carrying passenger experience (letter of experience required);**

**- Minimum of three years’ experience driving commercial fleet vehicles or buses;**
- Able to maneuver and handle objects weighing up to 70 kg;
- Tact and diplomacy;
- Passionate about helping others;
- Effective Communicator;
- Committed to working with a team to build a great customer experience;
- Willing and able to work flexible hours;
- Must be available to work Saturdays/Sundays;
- Ability and confidence to drive safely in variable weather conditions;
- Ability and willingness to travel within Caledon and all surrounding areas (including Orangeville and the GTA);
- Knowledge of the Caledon/Region of Peel area roads/routes is an asset;
- Clean Criminal Record Check - Vulnerable Sector;
- Microsoft Office 365 (web) experience; Access to a personal device (smart phone or tablet) is required for periodic, two-factor authentication using the Microsoft Authenticator App when signing into CCS networks/cloud environment as part of I.T. security protocols.

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- carrying passengers: 3 years (required)
