Spectrum Health Care is hiring casual **Speech Language Pathologist Consultant** starting at **$70 - $90/hour **to support clients in **Toronto.**

This role will provide an opportunity that includes both **in-home and virtual consultations **with patients and with Spectrum leadership, further enhancing our ability to provide rehabilitative services in the community. The incumbent will work as an independent contractor.

**Job Description**:

- Conducts comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient' speech, language, and swallowing abilities, identifying areas of impairment, and establishing treatment goals
- Develops individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions
- Provides direct therapy to patients to improve their speech production, language comprehension and expression, articulation, voice quality, fluency, and swallowing function
- Utilizes a variety of treatment modalities, such as articulation therapy, language therapy, oral motor exercises, cognitive-communication therapy, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies
- Provides guidance and support to patients, families and caregivers to facilitate carryover of therapy techniques and strategies into daily life
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge summaries

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of a Master's degree from a Speech Language Pathology program
- Registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working as an Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience working in a community setting an asset
- Valid Ontario driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- Proficient in conducting assessments, interpreting assessment results, and formulating evidence-based treatment plans
- Experience using a variety of assessment tools and therapy techniques commonly used in speech-language pathology
