**Working with us**:
This is a permanent, full-time position based out of your home office with the requirement to travel where needed across Ontario and to GVF’s headquarters in Cambridge, Ontario. Typical work hours for this position are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Given the nature of your role supporting our sales team and customers, you will travel to visit customers across Ontario and may have opportunities to travel outside of the province and outside of Canada as requested. This means there may be times when you will be required to work outside of these typical hours.

**What you’ll do**:

- Provide in-barn technical diagnostics, and solutions to production, performance and health issues in customer and prospective customer farms.
- Walk customers and prospective customer barns, identifying opportunities to improve production and performance and diagnosing environmental, management, health, and nutritional issues.
- Network with industry partners that have VMS and parlour systems and software and network within your territory and community to better understand the industry in your area and help farmers with their business.
- Coach and train team members in learning herd management software for VMS and Parlour systems.
- Work with the value-add team on projects including feed budgeting, record keeping, report generation and presentation of results.
- Help develop Economic Modelling of customer Performance as a tool for customer discussions.
- Utilize On Farm Business Intelligence Tools and Reporting to add value on farm.
- Establish personal and positive working relationships with team members and customers.
- Collaborate with the Dairy Specialists to learn ruminant sales, nutrition and business tactics as you endeavour to grow the business and your personal knowledge.
- Work with the team to expand existing ruminant business by passionately pursuing all business opportunities. There is potential for this role to look after your own book of business.
- Work closely with the Farmers Depot HyCare Specialists to learn about Total Water Care and Hygiene Schippers concepts. In addition to this, you will be a resource for the Farmers Depot team and assist with their ruminant-related challenges/issues.
- Promote the use of new, field-tested products and services.
- Submit practical ideas and issues evident at the customer level.
- Participate in meetings and attend events.

**Experience we like**:

- Diploma or Degree with an agricultural focus is an asset - we also like experience
- 5+ years relevant work experience servicing, supporting and selling to ruminant operations
- Experience working on an active livestock farm
- Experience and expertise with VMS systems and software
- Experience in sale of feed or nutritional additives, or related sales experience, is an asset
- Thorough knowledge of Ruminant production and industry
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and ability to quickly advanced your ruminant nutritional knowledge
- Good working knowledge and experience using CRM systems and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- A valid Canadian G Driver's License is required
