The Sterilizer Operator is a member of the manufacturing team and, is responsible for cleaning and sterilizing the utensils and equipment used in the production of medical devices.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Operating industrial washers and autoclave for the complete cleaning and sanitizing of utensils
- Cleaning of production utensils and equipment, manually or by washing equipment
- Detailed document control (using GMP) and accurate documentation of procedures and supplies used
- Daily monitoring of water systems, industrial sterilizers and glass washer
- Prepare cleaning solutions and tools to be used
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and follow replenishment procedures
- Perform cleaning operations under strict guidelines following a validated procedure (SOP), ensure cleanings are completed promptly and correctly
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly GMP cleaning and housekeeping

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in operations meetings as needed
- Responsible for performing top down cleaning within the IS0 5 Cleanroom, and its adjacent cleaning areas in the absence of cleaning subcontractor
- Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical Knowledge/Experience
- Minimum Grade 12 or College Diploma
- 1 year work experience in a GMP/GLP or ISO compliant environment in the same capacity or either in a Manufacturing or Quality department
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
- Excellent attention to details

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Operators are on their feet, walking or standing for much of the shift
- Operators are required to bend, reach, lift and move equipment and supplies as needed. Must be willing and able to repeatedly lift 20 lbs at a time.
- Operators handle mild chemicals such as detergents and antimicrobial solutions.
- The work areas can be noisy and busy.

**Salary**: From $17.50 per hour

- DCS / DEC (preferred)

**Experience**:
