Laser Operator

**Position Summary**

The position of Laser Operator includes but is not limited to the operation of laser cutting equipment, loading and unloading machines, and verifying completed parts against specifications using various measuring tools.

**Responsibilities**
- Operate laser cutting equipment
- Load and unload machines
- Operate a forklift to move materials as required
- Interpret drawings to understand the specifics of the required parts
- Determine and acquire the required raw material to be used
- Verify completed part against specifications using measuring tape, etc.
- Perform routine maintenance on machine
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and PakFab policies
- Other assigned work as required.

**Requirements**:

- 1+ years of experience in laser and/or plasma cutting equipment an asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production shop
- Preferably possess a valid driver’s license
- Preferably possess a valid forklift certification
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Able to effectively communicate

**Salary**: $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Aylmer, ON N5H 3H3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- CNC laser cutting: 1 year (required)
