**Job Description**:
**POSITION PURPOSE**

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provides input to Senior Management in identifying gaps to support human services planning
- Collects and analyzes data relative to all aspects of community and health programs and partnerships, including ways to disseminate the information to the community.
- Supports the Region’s service planning through the development, collection and analysis of program data.
- Supports implementation of various assessment tools and conducts analysis and interpretation of data arising from such exercises
- Coordinates the preparation of comprehensive statistical and demographic reports for the Department’s research, policy, program and services activities
- Promotes program recording, monitoring and reporting; provides support to internal and external stakeholders, improve consistency in recording/tracking systems, and improve the ability to describe key program activities and outcome objectives
- Researches and analyzes demographic and economic data from a variety of sources, such as Statistics Canada, external agencies and Departmental databases, to identify trends that will impact on strategic planning for the Department and to develop profiles of clients in order to understand changes in the population that impact services.
- Supports the Supervisor in responding to community requests for data and/or analysis including maps
- Responds to inquiries and resolves concerns, as appropriate, from the community.
- Ensures that services provided meet Regional customer service standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned, in accordance with Branch and Department objectives.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Successful completion of a University Degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration or related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years experience in statistical data analysis and collection, research, and data base design and report writing.
- Valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license and reliable vehicles for use on corporate business.
- Knowledge of applicable Department programs and services
- Knowledge of applicable Standards, Acts and Regulations.
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer focus, communication, collaboration and personal ownership.
- Demonstrated communication skills to conduct training sessions, provide support to Community staff, work with diverse groups and prepare reports.
- Ability to work outside regular business hours, as required.
