**Description**:
**The Opportunity**

Reporting directly to the Area Supervisor, this role is responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment and performing various duties for the division’s winter maintenance programs. As a Labourer II, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:

- Participate in winter road maintenance programs, including plowing, sanding, salting etc.
- Participate in road maintenance programs including shouldering and road surface repairs, etc.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment under all legislated requirements
- Perform all routine equipment maintenance including daily safety inspections, maintenance checks, and cleaning
- Record road conditions and report to Area Supervisor
- Perform road patroller duties as per the direction of the Area Supervisor
- Advise the Area Supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
- Participate in and attend training courses as required by the Town
- Perform other labourer-related duties as required
- Be responsible to work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, the Town of Caledon Policies and Procedures, as well as established industry guidelines

This position offers a pay rate of $26.04 per hour, based on a 40-hour work week.
