Junior Carpenter

**Job Purpose**:The Junior Carpenter role will require a passion for working with their hands and building beautiful spaces. They will work on crews accompanied by 2-3 other skilled carpenters on high-end residential and commercial projects, with plenty of variety in their day-to-day. Eagerness to learn and develop new skills and an aspiration to pursue a long-term career in the construction industry will be extremely valuable in this role.

**Job Responsibilities and Duties**:Duties performed by the employee in this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Safe on-site demolition and removal of existing materials
- Framing, drywall, insulation, and window & door installation
- Installation of trim carpentry, interior & exterior fit-ups
- Measuring, leveling, cutting, and assembling building materials
- Offers a clear understanding of project scopes and design specifications for all projects
- Executes project construction work plans successfully and to the level of quality craftmanship Rogez Construction represents
- Develops and maintains strong working relations with clients, owners, sub-trades, public etc. to suitably represent Rogez Construction
- Promotes a safe work site, enforces safety and work regulation policies, and keeps tools, equipment, and vehicles well-organized

**Job Requirements**:

- 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in the construction industry
- College diploma or Pre-Apprenticeship Program in Trade-field or alike required
- Field related certifications seen as an asset
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Ability to follow and provide instructions and work independently
- Thorough understanding of construction techniques and disciplines and safety policies/regulations seen as an asset
- Strong work ethic and willingness to join and contribute to a dynamic construction team that fosters a positive and enjoyable work environment

**Salary**: $23.00-$40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kitchener-Waterloo, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
