The position of Porter is pivotal to the overall efficiency of the hotel. This multitasking role requires the ability to prioritize efforts and respond to varying requests from co-workers and guests. Porters are often the first and/or last point of contact for our customers and they must be comfortable acting as Ambassadors for the hotel. Our guests are most important and keeping them happy is just one of the million little things we do each and everyday.

Duties Tasks/Responsibilities: Our airport shuttle is a huge selling feature of the hotel and as the primary driver, you are responsible for their safe and pleasant transport. This includes a clean vehicle, assisting with bags, opening and closing doors, knowing the forecast and having a good knowledge of the City to answer any questions which arise. You are like a welcome wagon Within the hotel you will respond to various guest requests for extra items or assistance with TV’s etc. As well, our meeting room clients are always in need of help with AV, or assisting the kitchen setting up breaks or lunches. Meeting room setup is often done overnight or late night so we are prepared for the next day. Tear down is also part of your role or resetting for the next event The proper storage of all excess materials will assist in maintaining them. Through the winter months you will ensure the walkways are cleared and salted and always keep an eye out for garbage bins around the hotel but especially at the front door. Any assistance you can offer in peak periods when the restaurant or housekeeping are busy is appreciated and necessary for us to take care of the million little things. Keeping an eye to the security around the hotel is also key, often you are driving around the building so please keep an eye out for anything looking out of the ordinary. Generally, keep the guest in mind and assist in any way you can to make their stay memorable.

Qualifications: You must be a great communicator with an outgoing personality. Must be capable of heavy lifting for baggage as well as meeting room setups/teardowns. Must be keen to work shifts to accommodate our 24/7/365 business. Must be over 21 and possess a class 4 drivers license. Must provide a driving record acceptable to our insurance company. Must be able to work with mínimal supervision and keen to take initiative. Must have good working knowledge of the City.

**Salary**: $15.96-$16.96 per hour
