**Position summary**:
LCI is an outpatient cardiac clinic. Sonographer will perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms. As a sonographer you will perform echocardiograms using 2D, M-Mode, Doppler along with identifying cardiac diseases and conditions including, valvular, cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease. Performing saline studies to identify PFO and contrast to assist in diagnosing thrombus and ventricular function.

You will be responsible for inputting patient data and will need to be comfortable in giving a preliminary report to physicians onsite. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, function in an organized manner, be able to work well in a team environment but able to be a self-directed individual. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills for the team to be successful.

**Qualifications**:
**Must be a graduate from an Accredited Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography program.**

*Sonography Canada certified

*Liability insurance

*Current CPR-C certification

Duties and responsibilities:

- Maintaining Accreditation Canada requirements.
- Preparing preliminary reports.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills involving time management and prioritization.
- Able to function independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to establish relationships with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
- Knowledge of patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Able to attend work on a regular basis.
- Light office duties such as call reminders to patients.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Freelance

**Salary**: $33.00-$90.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 - 40 per week
