Gibbons, Canada Sturgeon Public Schools Full time

Sturgeon Public School Division is currently seeking a qualified full-time Educational Assistant 2 for a work assignment at our Landing Trail School.
**FTE**: 1.0 FTE; 6.5 hrs/day; Full-Time Temporary
**Initial Assignment**: Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will work in an elementary classroom with a non-verbal student, assisting with toileting, and helping with food.
**Qualifications & Experience**: Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate is required; experience working with behaviours is an asset; CPR and First Aid are desirable. Preference is given to applicants with experience and training with Autism, Behaviors and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Experience with trauma-informed practice is an asset. Equivalencies that consist of a combination of education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to formal education requirements may be considered.
**Hourly Rate**: $18.82 - $23.57 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
