With 140 years in the industry, _KRUG_ is well recognized as a leader in the design & manufacturer of high end business & health care furniture. We are seeking a positive and energetic Pattern Maker for Upholstery **in Kitchener. Day Shift - 7am to 3:30pm**

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Develop new upholstery patterns for all variations of fabric, leather and vinyl, on new product.
- Able to independently create complete upholstered product for visual mock ups, showroom specials, prototypes and engineering/marketing review.
- Able to consult on product design by way of upholstery details, opportunities and limitations.
- Training of upholstery process on new / special products to production at launch of those products.
- Able to cut all fabrics.
- Able to sew all fabrics.
- Trouble shoot existing production upholstery issues.
- Repair and maintain existing inventory of patterns.
- Digitize patterns on computer systems.
- Maintains internal contacts within department and regular contact with other departments as needed. (trouble shooting and training)
- **Position Requirements**:

- Grade 12 education or equivalent experience.
- Recognized Upholstery apprenticeship program preferred or equivalent experience.
- Computer Knowledge.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
