Art of Bean Coffee Co. is growing We are a busy, locally owned shop in the heart of the East End, working with an incredible team who are passionate about coffee and equally committed to uplifting the community.

**Position**: Barista - Part Time

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**
- Promote the values, culture and mission of Art of Bean Coffee Co.
- Prepare and serve coffee and drinks that meet set standards
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings
- Greet and interact with all customers and serve them as guests into our space
- Work well under pressure and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times
- Maintain the functionality and cleanliness of the cafe and be aware and anticipate the needs of customers
- Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures
- Responsible for the opening and closing of the cafes - this includes maintaining the point of sale, ensuring cleaning checklists are complete, and locking up at the end of the day.
- Sell coffee and retail merchandise by utilizing your knowledge of current coffee offerings and confidently and accurately communicating this to the customer
- Respond to all questions, orders and concerns in a positive and friendly manner

**Skills & Experience**
- Previous work experience in a customer-service environment
- Previous work experience as a barista is preferred

**Salary**: From $16.68 per year

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
