**Small Engine Technician**
- **Battlefield Equipment Rentals**_(a division of _**Toromont Industries Ltd**_.), one of Canada’s premiere Construction Rental Companies, has an immediate requirement for a Small Engine Technician in our **Burlington** location.

This is a busy, team-oriented shop that places a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available as well as maintaining a flow of information on that equipment for both the rental staff and the sales staff. Our service team is critical to the success of our customer relationships.

**Key Qualifications**
- Participate in safe workplace safety, environmentally sound behaviors and practices at all times in support of Battlefield’s health and safety policy programs and initiatives;
- Experience with 2-stroke and 4-stroke gas engines as well as construction heaters (propane and natural gas) and a variety of small electrical tools;
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairs;
- Ability to work independently, skilled in time management and organization;
- Keen sense of Safe practices testing and repair of multiple tool items
- Construction and Landscape equipment knowledge and definite asset
- Aerial and Forklift experience
- Team driven but capable to work with mínimal supervision
- Adaptable to on-call work schedules and willing to work to meet the demands of the business;
- A customer-centric and positive attitude; good communication skills;
**Additional Qualifications**
- Preference will be given to a licensed small engine technician.
- Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting, as heavy lifting will be required frequently;
- Your own tools are required.
