ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PROGRAM

The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) welcomes international students from around the world to participate in full-year and one semester programs. We also offer 3 or 4 month individual short term stays. Our minimum for individual, short-term stays is 3 months. International students will have a positive “once in a lifetime” cultural experience and come away with the knowledge, confidence and motivation required to excel in a global society.

Each of our participating high schools has a devoted team of English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers and instructors available to those students requiring language support. This posting is to recruit enthusiastic applicants for the ESL support role.

**Time of Work**: Varied hours, Monday to Friday (based on enrolment)

**Salary**: OSSTF District 17, Instructor’s Bargaining Unit $27.36 per hour

**Locations**: Alliston, Angus, Barrie, Bradford, Collingwood, Innisfil, Midland, Orillia

**Qualifications**:
**Required**: Grade 12 diploma. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently.

**Preferred**: Post-secondary education. Experience teaching English to secondary school students.
