We source and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America to ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste. Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again
**Job Summary**:
As CMI continues to grown, we are looking for passionate people to join our team. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented dispatch/planner for our Fleet and Transportation team.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan efficient daily truck routes, maximize truck utilization, and schedule same-day routes based on customer requirements
- Monitor and update real-time pick-up requests and review previous schedules to address any issues or concerns
- Monitor customer cameras and schedule pick-ups accordingly
- Follow driver runs and address any concerns or issues that arise
- Liaise with traders regarding customer concerns and resolve
- Complete daily transportation and fleet checklists
- Liaise with drivers regarding any accidents and take appropriate action
- Review driver logs/inspection reports for any items or concerns that may require repair
- Ensure all tasks are completed in a safe manner in compliance with regulatory, legislative guidelines and company health and safety policies and procedures

**Qualifications**:

- High School Graduate
- Post-secondary education in Logistics/Operators is an asset
- Previous experience as a dispatcher is an asset
- Knowledge of WHMIS, Spill Response and Environmental and Quality Policy is an asset.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other related software
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic computations required to calculate weights/deductions
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to work well under pressure
