**Structural Steel Detailer**

**FWS Group of Companies is a fully integrated design, engineering, construction, and maintenance services firm.** We are advocates of the design-build approach to project development. To add to this expertise, **we are recruiting for a **Structural Steel Detailer** for our Winnipeg office location, to join our collaborative and team focused organization.**

**As our Structural Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for developing structural steel designs and detailed fabrication drawings for a variety of steel structures for industrial processing facilities.**

**Position Overview**:

- Work with **Structural Steel Engineer, the design team and Project Manager** to design 3D model and draft structural steel components and structures.
- Participate in project meetings with other designers and engineers to ensure overall layout and fit up of designed components.
- Interact directly with design team to develop high quality drawings and plans in accordance with client specifications.
- **Provide design suggestions to the Structural Steel Engineer and Project Team based on optimal structure designs.**

**Qualifications Needed**:

- **Diploma in a technical field such as Architectural Technology or Engineering Technology or a combination of technical education and experience.**:

- 5+ years’ experience in the construction or design-build industry.
- Experience with design software such as **Autodesk**, **Advance Steel, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud and other Autodesk products**.
- High degree of accuracy and able to **manage multiple details under tight deadlines** and pressure.
- Ability to travel with some extended stays.
