**We have a **Calibration Technician opening for Site Calibration**
Reporting to the Supervisor of Site Calibration, you will focus on supporting production to minimize equipment downtime while meeting our customer commitments for on-time delivery.
**Responsibilities/Duties**:
- Calibration Technician support:
- Prioritize and arrange for external calibration services for production area cost centers, on and off site.
- Process/register calibration packages from external providers.
- Registration and identification of new items into calibration system (GageTrak)
- Organize/file/provide calibration documents from/to cost centers.
- Support/direct general inquiries related to calibration activities to the responsible calibration technician
- As your schedule permits, provide and coordinate calibration of electronic and mechanical test equipment as per department operating procedures.
- Updating/revising calibration status of items in manufacturing areas.
- Collect, input and maintain calibration records within GageTrak software.
- Ability to coordinate work activities effectively with team members (Production Supervisors, Supply Chain Management, ect)
- Willingness to be reassigned to other responsibilities or shifts within Mission Assurance based on prioritized business needs.
- Demonstrated ability to follow rules and regulations. Willing to comply with all pertinent Raytheon Environmental, Health, & Safety Organizational Directives and Instructions and other applicable Program and Site Directives and Raytheon Company Policies
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- Must have sound computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. **Experience with LN and/or Gagetrak would be an asset.**:
- Completion of Post-Secondary in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing) or a certified Mechanical Apprenticeship. Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) accreditation or equivalent would be an asset.
- Experience in reading, understanding, and using drawings, work instructions, and written policies to guide work efforts
- Good understanding of general metrology, measurement & calibration systems, measurement uncertainty and Quality Systems & Standards.
- Familiarization with Z540.3 and/or ISO17025 standards is considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrating self-motivation; effective performance is driven from within rather than being conditional on pressure from external factors (e.g. boss, peers, subordinates, deadlines, crises, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to be organized, self-motivated, dependable, and works well with others in a multi-tasking environment.
- Identifying and evaluating unique ways to improve the organization (cost reductions, use of resources, policies/procedures, products); generating useful new ideas, approaches or techniques.
