**Cardiac Technologist PACE Cardiology (part-time)**

**Opening for: Cardiac Technologist (part-time at our Barrie Clinic).**

**Key Qualifications: Graduation from a recognized program in Cardiology Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.**
- Successful completion of a recognized course in cardiac diagnostics or equivalent
- BCLS/ACLS certification required
- ICD/pacemaker experience an asset.
- Demonstration of good attendance and work records
- Demonstration of strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Possess strong computer skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

**Position Summary**

**Needs to proficiently perform the following**:

- 12 lead ECG's with full understanding of ECG interpretation
- Stress tests and stress echos
- Holter/ELR monitor hook ups, scanning and preparation of the preliminary report for physicians
- Advanced holter scanning skills
- ABP monitor hook ups and downloading
- Entry and reporting with data management software
- Work in conjunction with other team members to prioritize, co-ordinate and complete area workload
- Demonstration and the ability to work as an integral member of a health care team
- Assist with statistical data collection, equipment quality assurance, and maintaining adequate departmental supplies
- Prepare accurate reports for physician interpretation
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a busy clinical environment
- Demonstrates tact, diplomacy and confidentiality
- Self-directed and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision
- Must be able to meet the physical demands
- Ability to efficiently use and troubleshoot diverse equipment necessary for job performance
- Ability to assess, evaluate and respond to patients based on age or other functional limitations
- Ability and confidence to work independently and act as a resource on behalf of the department.
- Perform all duties with patient centred focus
- Must be willing to travel to other office sites/locations

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Cardiac Technician: 1 year (preferred)
