**Position Overview**:
Airframe Techs will report to the IMP Group Ltd. Aerospace and Defence Location near the Halifax International Airport.

**What You Will Do**:
Perform all identified (TQR) critical tasks on the aircraft.
Performs airworthiness function of Maintenance Release Authority as full Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA).
Possesses and demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the mechanical system relationships and system safety parameters between disturbed systems and newly installed equipment, and performs Ground Test Plan (GTP) functionals on prototype, proof-fit and production approved modifications on aircraft and components.
Carries out Prototype Modification installations on aircraft using acquired knowledge and experience, including liaising with Engineering and Planning staff to recommend appropriate changes to the Technical Data Package (TDP), and to provide advice on the sequence of mechanical installation.
Performs ramp duties and receives post flight aircrew debriefs and determines defect/unserviceability corrective actions required and performs the required maintenance including initiation of deferred maintenance, review of recurring defects, and aircraft maintenance record set (AMRS) entries.
Performs or is capable of performing Lead Hand/Mentorship duties.
Provides technical supervision to Airframe Mechanics and provides mentorship to personnel undertaking on-job-training (OJT) and on-job-experience (OJE).
Travels and works on off-site Mobile Repair Parties/Field Teams, and Work Parties.
Attends trade training and development sessions for qualifications/authorization purposes.
Adheres to policies, procedures and directives as established by the company.
Other duties as tasked/required.

**What You Will Bring**:
Must be a current Airframe Mechanic at IMP.

**Must meet one of the following eligibility streams**: a graduate of recognized aircraft maintenance or apprenticeship program, hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) license, be qualified as an Airframe Mechanic with the Canadian Forces, or be a graduate of an equivalent foreign military/civilian basic trade-training program.
Successfully completed the Advanced Airworthiness Examination within the past 3 years.
Have greater than 4 years post trade training work experience.
Have a minimum of 2 year's experience in a technical lead and/or mentorship capacity.
Completed an Aircraft Type Course.
Must be skilled at reading and interpreting technical documentation such as technical manuals, drawings and Technical Data Packages (TDPs), Work Orders (WOs), Request for Engineering Services (RES) instructions and associated data.
Must demonstrate a highly skilled level of proficiency for the Technician level task performance of maintenance (POM), with a minimum of 70 % TQR's qualification.
Must hold and maintain Maintenance Release Authority as a Full Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) on all programs assigned.
Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies. Continually focusing on your individual safety and the safety of others who may be affected by your work and to fully comply with all Federal Health and Safety Legislation.
Participate in Continuous Improvement, Learn & 6S activities in your area.
Incumbents must be able to pass and maintain Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and Transport Canada security clearances.
The successful applicants will be eligible to meet requirements for the U.S International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
Applicants must be able to pass and maintain a Level II (Secret) security clearance with the Department of National Defence.
