**_Position Summary: _**

Reporting to the Receiving Supervisor the will-call selector is responsible for selecting Gordon Food Service (GFS) products for customer pick up from the warehouse.

**Essential Functions**:

- Ability to work in **all three **temperature zones.
- **Computer and WMS experience **are an **asset **.
- Selects GFS products for customer orders placed at the warehouse.
- Verifies the accuracy of orders and ensures that the customer has an invoice upon product pickup.
- Ensures that customers are treated with respect and kindness.
- Ensures integrity of catch weights.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned such as running pallets, and loading customer and carrier orders as required.

**Knowledge / Skills / Abilities**:

- Must be able to communicate clearly in a professional manner.
- Must have good customer service skills and be able to read, communicate and follow directions in English.
- Must be able to perform manual labour and understand the correct method to organize and stack products.
- Must have good knowledge of GFS products and services.
- Must wear GFS uniform and have a neat appearance at all times.
- Adheres to the mission cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.
- Has experience in selection and has shown a consistent selection rate of **110 cases per hour or more **.
- Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
