Janitor/groundskeeper Ft

**Department: Environmental Services**

**Site: St. Joseph's Heritage**

**Shifts: Days/Evenings including weekends (potential for night shifts in the future)**

**Rate of Pay: $20.56 - $21.96 per hour**

The Janitor/Groundskeeper performs various cleaning duties required to maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable and tidy environment.

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Minimum grade 12 required
- Previous cleaning experience in a health care facility a definite asset
- Experience in cleaning and sanitizing/operating of floor scrubber

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Must be in good physical condition and able to meet the physical demands of the job
- Must work both independently and as a part of a team
- Able to operate all equipment
- Ability to read and write English
- Basic computer skills

**Assets**:

- Knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health & Safety regulations an asset

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
