La Presse Canadienne est à la recherche d'un(e) photographe/éditeur(trice) photo à Toronto. Nous recherchons quelqu'un qui a fait ses preuves avec excellence dans la couverture de l'actualité et des sports ainsi que dans la réalisation de reportages au Canada et à l'étranger. La personne choisie sera autonome, mais aussi capable de travailler en collaboration avec les collègues pour produire du contenu visuel afin d'illustrer les nouvelles du jour et d'organiser les plans de couverture.

**Responsabilités**:

- Être efficacement à l'affut des nouvelles et générer des idées de reportage visuel.
- Organiser la couverture et communiquer les plans quotidiens de couverture au pupitre photo à Toronto.
- Réviser les affectations, en plus de rédiger des légendes de photo conformes.
- Produire des images créatives bien soignées qui sont régulièrement publiées.
- Éditer des photos sur place ou à distance en coordination avec le pupitre photo au besoin.
- Même si ce poste concerne la région de Toronto et des environs, tous les photographes couvrent en outre les grands événements hors de leur territoire, notamment les élections fédérales, les événements sportifs et les nouvelles de dernière heure. Les déplacements sont un élément important du travail et seront exigés.
- Du tournage vidéo sera également requis.

**Compétences**:

- Connaissance approfondie de la photographie et de l'équipement numérique.
- Connaissance approfondie des ordinateurs et des logiciels d'imagerie, de mise en réseau et de transmission.
- Souci du détail.
- Habileté de travailler avec rapidité et précision, souvent sous la pression des délais.
- Excellent jugement journalistique et bonne connaissance des différents domaines de l'actualité : nouvelles générales, politiques et sportives.
- Excellentes aptitudes de communication et d'organisation.
- Habileté de travailler de façon autonome.
- Habileté de travailler en collaboration au sein d'une équipe.
- La maîtrise des deux langues officielles serait un atout.

**Exigences**:

- Programme de photojournalisme d'une université, collège communautaire/CÉGEP.
- 3-5 ans d'expérience dans un environnement d'information quotidienne; une expérience de pigiste pour une agence de presse serait un atout.
- Le permis de conduite est indispensable.
- Doit être en mesure de travailler à des heures imprévisibles, les week-ends, en-dehors des heures normales de travail, selon les besoins de la couverture de l'actualité.
- Doit être en mesure de transporter de l'équipement lourd.
- Doit être disposé(e) à voyager.
