**Job Duties/Responsibilities**:
Must be able to perform the following duties under the direction and/or guidance of a qualified Mould Maker:
1. Build and make repairs to all types of plastic injection and other types of plastic parts fabricating moulds.

2. Trouble shoot and make corrections to moulds when possible in moulding machine.

3. Perform preventative maintenance procedures and diagnose faults on moulds that would lead to premature failure.

4. Verify conformance of repaired moulds to specifications by checking dimensions, clearances and alignments, consistently working to close tolerance.

5. Operate a variety of machine tools to cut, mill, grind, or repair work piece to prescribed dimensions and finish.

6. Perform hand benching and polishing tasks on mould cores and cavities.

7. Operate overhead lift hoist to separate, roll, fit and lift mould halves and components.

8. Promote and comply with safety standards, safe operating procedures, good housekeeping practices and the observance of protective equipment requirements at all times.

9. Dismantle and repair or replace mould parts, units or fixtures, fitting and assembling parts and testing repaired tooling for proper operation.

**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:

- High School graduate or equivalent
- 1 year related experience, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Mathematical and mechanical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of machine shop machines
- Ability to work well independently
- Has a basic understanding of the principles involved in simple electric and hydraulic systems
