**Overview**

Reporting to the site foreman, the **Directional Driller/Locator** is responsible for performing various tasks to assist in the day-to-day operations of a construction site. Tasks include Operating heavy equipment (Mini Backhoe, Trencher, Winch, Compressors, Directional Drills etc.) and power tools (Power Drills, Concrete Saws) and Will perform work including box locating and directional drilling, installation of conduits for various cables

**Requirements**:
To be considered for this role, here are the skills we are looking for:

- Excellent stamina
- Impeccable work ethic
- Demonstrated the ability to work well independently with mínimal supervision assuming accountability for achieving results.
- Troubleshoot equipment as needed
- Ability to work outdoors conducting manual labour for extended periods of time
- Minimum 1 year experience with directional driller and/or locating
- Experience with underground utility and telecommunication installations
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co workers
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Class 5 drivers license or Class 3 with Air is beneficial & Personal Drivers abstract
- Must live in Canada to apply

**Responsibilities**
As an NLU employee, you play a very important role, as you are responsible for the efficiency of each project and that it is carried out professionally and to the required quality standards. Throughout your career at No Limits Underground you will be responsible for:

- Either operates directional drill or locator for installation of underground telecommunications
- Communicates effectively as a team
- Inspection and daily preventative maintenance of directional drill and related equipment
- Ensures safety of the public and other utilities underground facilities
- Load, transport and unload tools, material and equipment in a safe manner
- Performs all duties according to safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment
- Performs appropriate maintenance on equipment as per NLU standards
- Comply with all NLU safety procedures

**Work Conditions**:

- Travel out of town and stay overnights
- Required to work in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
- Intensive labor working
