CNC Machinist

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**JOB TITLE: CNC MACHINIST- GUNDRILL OPERATOR**

**REPORTS TO: MACHINING LEADER**

**JOB FUNCTION**:
In support of the Mission and Vision of SyBridge Technologies Inc., the **_CNC Machinist/Gundrill Operator _**is responsible for programming and operating a CNC machine to build molds using 3D models. Reporting to the **_Machining Leader_**, the **_CNC Machinist/Gundrill Operator_** ensures first time quality is a priority each and every time while adhering to health and safety requirements.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**On a daily basis**:

- Operate Unisig Machine (Gundrill).
- Run preprogrammed machine, sharpen drills & check tolerance.
- Help maintain 5S standards of cleanliness/ safety.
- Setup/ teardown work pieces, check condition of tooling and replace when necessary.
- Fill out check lists for quality and inspect, report deviation from standards to programmer/ leader.
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs using provided paper and/or electronic logs.

**As required**:

- Assist in the repair of machine tools and parts, as needed.
- Maintain safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain the equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions, initiating repair work orders, etc.
- Participate in required meetings and training, as requested.

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:
**EDUCATION**
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.

**EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE**
- Five (5) years of related experience operating CNC, 2D, and boring mill.
- Five (5) years’ experience programming CNC machines. (Heidenhaine required, Lemoine software is preferred)
- Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required.
- Ability to ensure quality standards are met.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.
- Proficient in time management and communication skills.
